Carro needed a regional inventory management and forecasting system.
Our approach:
Our approach to Carro’s need for a regional inventory management and forecasting system is rooted in our in-depth understanding of the challenges involved in managing inventories across multiple locations. We start by working with care to identify its specific needs and objectives. From there, we develop a tailored solution that considers the unique features of Carro’s business. This includes integrating existing software applications, developing custom algorithms/reports, and training staff on how to use the new system effectively.

Major Japanese Insurer

An insurance company
Storyline:
Since their foundation in 1902, the Major Japanese Insurer has always put their customers first. This philosophy continues to guide them as they move forward. The company wanted to have a more in-depth understanding of the current data environment and a roadmap and strategy to drive the business forward through the active use of data with proper governance.
Our approach:
During the project, we carefully assessed their product line up and legislation environment. Through the careful analysis of their condition, we started to help them to develop the necessary control protocols and processes to manage the risk exposure as a result of technology adoption and legislation implementations.
Outcome:
As a result of our work, they have successfully developed a comprehensive risk management framework that is applied across the ASEAN region. At the same time, as a result of the new framework implementation, they were able to identify internal weaknesses that would have been disastrous for their business operations.
Storyline:
The Major Financial Institution is a Singaporean multinational banking and financial services corporation headquartered in Singapore.
Our approach:
The Major Financial Institution has a new data-driven initiative that requires redesigning the processes that lead to the data lakes. With many unique and legacy systems still in operations coupled with the complexity of a physical-digital bank, the existing approaches are unable to achieve the objectives and goals of the initiative. The bank requested us to come in to develop a training program and redesign the processes that are related to the data-driven initiatives to meet the objectives.
Outcome:
The initiative’s impact projection is estimated to be USD200 million in value. As the coverage is comprehensive, the project covers ASEAN, North East Asia, and South Asia, affecting more than 58 significant projects each with a projected cost of at least USD500,000 with over 2,500 staffs trained in the new process. Beyond the financial numbers, the project is also part of the innovation transformation that the bank is embarking. This change will help to move the bank into the digital realm and being one of the top digital banks internationally. The strategy team suggests that the long-term impact exceed USD 1 Billion over the next five years. The new process will also be one of the core processes that all future business initiatives have to follow.

Mercatus

Real Estate Dream Home
Storyline:
Mercatus Co-operative Limited (“Mercatus”) is an investor, owner, and manager of real estate that strives to generate sustainable, long-term returns, while supporting the social objectives of NTUC Enterprise.
Our approach:
Mercatus embarked on a project to automate its financial reporting. To fulfill the requirements of this project, a data engineering and reconciliation project was initiated to create the data model required to fill up the Tableau reports. As the business requires information on the go during the COVID-19 crisis, the models and insights have to be automated sustainably with proper reconciliation.
Outcome:
We developed a specific data engineering routine to enable intelligent checking. The results were very useful for the client. They were able to use the information to identify areas of weaknesses in the business. The project was adapted by all the property owners and the senior management team in Mercatus.
